Paper Abstract:      The goal of the pilot study was to develop the instruction module of the e-storybooks reading comprehension in the elementary school and test the effect of the instruction module of the e-storybooks reading comprehension. This study is to compare the influences of paper-books and the instruction module of the e- storybooks reading comprehension among the fifth graders’ reading comprehension ability and reading motivation. The results of the study indicated that there was no significant difference between the experimental group and the controlled group. However, the instruction module of the e-storybooks reading comprehension could increase the students’ reading motivation. Based on the results, this study offers suggestions for school administration, future studies and application in the practical teaching.
